I may not be fully aware of the procedures surrounding this issue, but after signing the buyer’s order for my 2026 Honda Civic, I discovered that the previously negotiated trade-in value for my 2015 Toyota Corolla had been changed. My bank told them the wrong price, to this I do not blame Honda. However, I was not notified of this change, nor was I asked to sign a revised document acknowledging or approving the new amount. After contacting the dealership multiple times for clarification, I was informed that Honda could go back and edit documents that had already been signed. While I understand that there may be procedures, I am unfamiliar with, I found this entire experience extremely frustrating and concerning. I believe that any changes to an agreed-upon price should be communicated clearly and approved by the customer before being made. The lack of communication and transparency throughout this process has left me dissatisfied with my experience.

Gene Hall is a 10 out of 10 in all aspects, but the wait periods for service are still way too long in many cases. Sometimes three hours for an oil change and tire rotation. While waiting four hours for a we-owe tow-package install, another customer was waiting three hours for an oil change and recall software-update. These waits are way too common. Not all of us have a spouse/partner that can give us a ride home and back to Honda, and Uber means an hour or more (total) in somebody else's car.

BEWARE: Dishonest and Exploitative – Honda of Gainesville Will Scam You My wife and I recently visited Honda of Gainesville to buy a car for our daughter—a moment that was supposed to be exciting and memorable for our family. Instead, this dealership turned it into an infuriating nightmare by scamming us out of nearly $6,000. While I was present, the salesperson quoted us a specific trade-in value and car price. Everything seemed fair, and we calculated the deal to fit comfortably within our budget. Confident in what we were told, I left to take our youngest son home, leaving my wife to finalize the paperwork with our daughter. That’s when Honda of Gainesville took advantage of the situation. They deliberately changed the numbers, raising the vehicle price by $2,000 and slashing the trade-in value by $4,000. They completely disregarded the deal we had agreed upon. My wife trusted them to honor their word, but instead, they manipulated her and my daughter during this special moment. To make matters worse, they didn’t provide printed paperwork for review—instead, they handed over a USB with the documents, likely hoping we wouldn’t realize the deception until it was too late. When we got home and reviewed the paperwork, we discovered their blatant fraud. It’s clear that Honda of Gainesville preys on women and exploits trust. What should have been a happy milestone for my wife and daughter became an infuriating experience due to the dishonesty and manipulation of this dealership. The interest rate was never clearly explained to me, nor was I given a clear verbal breakdown of what my payments would be. What makes this experience particularly concerning is that the total interest associated with my financing amounts to approximately $20,000 for a vehicle manufactured in 2014. Considering the age of the vehicle and the substantial financial obligation involved, I believe these terms warranted a much more thorough explanation before I committed to the purchase. I believe that when someone is making a significant financial commitment, transparency, honesty, and a trustworthy approach should be fundamental priorities. Customers should fully understand not only their monthly payments but also the interest charges, total cost of financing, and long-term financial implications of their decisions. I expected a more informative, professional, and customer-centered consultation, particularly when discussing financing options and long-term financial obligations.
