10/10 Mark Anthony was a pleasant, honest, and upfront dealer. While test driving the vehicle Mark was extremely helpful in making sure we fully tested the capabilities of the car to ensure no issues were present. Despite our best efforts, upon pulling out of the dealership after purchase I drove about a mile before the tire pressure monitoring system notification and tire pressure light came on. I immediately took the car back and the Honda Service center proceeded to fix my issue free of charge. This is exactly why I went to Honda and not a used car dealer.

My sales person, DJ, listened to my requests on my text before I went into the dealership and communicated them with his managers. My time was respected. My finances were respected. My requirement to communicate with a family member before agreeing to a deal was never questioned. Excessive extras were not added to the first proposal as they had been at another dealership the day before. DJ is a very polite, professional, and genuine man. Everyone I met at the dealership was very nice and not high pressure.

The next day ..when I realized what had happened in F&I I went back … went ballistic! >> Then manager Jordan Hamel tasked assistant manager Steve Hoggle to sort it out. Over the period of a month EVERY SINGLE ISSUE WAS RESOLVED + AND MORE …Steve was was a gentleman about it. Sanguine- optimistic or positive, especially in an apparently bad or difficult situation. I will give Steve a shot at my next car purchase and when I am in Gainsville I will have my car serviced as their service department is very good. Lastly, their telephone routing system is horrible. Don’t give up on them if you have a problem. Mistakes are made. We are human.

Went in to have my car serviced and washed. I was treated very disrespectful. Honda of Gainesville doesn't care about their customers. Went next door to Nissan and was treated very respectful but their service was closed. This is the second time Honda of Gainesville has done this to me I will never own another Honda. I went to Honda of Gainesville. I told them I needed a reliable car. I didn't care if it was pretty or fast, just safe and reliable. I explained that I'm a nurse and single mom of a 10-year-old with autism. I work an hour from home and needed to make sure I could get to and from work and get to my son if needed. I was a sold my first car. Within 3 days the check engine light came on. By the time I got to the dealership, it had gone off. They wouldn't look at the car, saying it was fine now. I had no choice but to leave without having my car looked at. The next time I drove it, the auto stop feature caused the entire car to shut down. When it kicked on, I had to put the car in park and restart the ignition. This caused me to be unable to get out of the way and a minor collision occurred. I had the car towed back to the dealership. The first call I got said there was nothing wrong with it. The next call I got said they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. After about a couple weeks they called and said the car was fixed. I went to pick it up. While sitting in their parking lot, the car stalled out then kept trying to restart itself without me touching anything. I was told they'd look at it again. At this point I went to the general manager. He asked me to give him until Tuesday to figure out what was wrong with the car. On Thursday I messaged him. He asked me if I hadn't heard from the service department. I was a little shocked he hadn't followed up with them but told him no. He told me to come back in. I went back to the dealership the next day, so sick I could barely sit up straight. I was given another car to test drive that was a year older. When I asked if we could just cancel the whole deal, I was told no. I basically had two choices. I could take the car that had three issues in a month or take this other car. I told him I was scared of their cars after the last one and all the issues. He assured me this new one was great. I test drive it with the sales guy. While not thrilled, I didn't see what choice I had. I asked the sales guy about the tires and he told me it had brand new tires on it. I expressed my concern about my credit getting dinged again and was told it wasn't a problem, they still had my credit report on file, so that wouldn't happen. As we got inside, the story changed. My credit got dinged again, as they pulled a whole new application for this car. I went home and said the xxxx with it. A few weeks later, I get a call that the financing department messed up and I needed to switch my lender to a different lender. I went back in and asked again if we could just cancel the whole thing, because I had zero faith in this dealership at this point. I was told l, again, that it couldn't be cancelled, that I would own either this current car or the last car. I signed the papers to switch my lender. I then took this car to MY mechanic. He informed me that my "brand new" tires were 8 years old and rotting and that there were issues with the passenger airbag. He said both were safety issues. I messaged the dealership. The first response was that there was 4 inches of tread on them, which, apparently, is all their safety requirements are. It doesn't matter if they're rotting, splitting, and out of date. Really high standards for your "Tru car certification". After me complaining further, their solution was to have me bring the car back to them and they'd "check the cost" of some tires. First, the cost shouldn't be an issue. You sold me an unsafe car. If you checked the treads, you saw the date, the rot, and the splitting, so you knew you were selling me car that the tire could blow on. Second, I wouldn't trust your service department to put gas in my car, after all the times I've been told a car is fixed or safe. I left a message for Morgan group asking for someone above the GM to contact me. I've never heard anything back from them.

After years of service, including the purchase of my car, Honda of Gainesville I can never return and sending a warning out to anyone that is, was, or could be in business with them. I scheduled a service for Dec 6 at 9:20am. I then thought, maybe they have a key drop box? I call 2x and confirm where and how to do it. I arrive, grab an envelope, fill it out, place the programmed key in, fold it up, slide it through the drop slot, see it bounce on the clutter free floor, and look up at the camera in the service bay, while looking at the time to confirm things are safe at 8pm. Next day, no call. I call them and they say they do not have any keys. I get driven there. I complain and ask them to review footage to see how they can lose a key in their envelope, on a clean floor. "We dont have a camera there." So...its fake huh? Key is gone and they dont give one xxxx. Thinking, this is being blown up, I leave, and return with my broken spare, speak to Gene, whom has been there since I first got serviced years ago, and nobody is helping me about my missing key. Gene asked what service I needed, ignoring that this customers trust level plummeted, and i said i think i have a wheel bearing problem. He sets me up and i ask...what are you going to do to make this right? Offers a $200 diagnostic fee waived, something i never heard on previous visits. I said, great, but i still need my key or a new one programmed. Why is this such a demand! Fine, again, take a deep breath, car is in safe hands, theyll find the key or make a new one. Easy problem to solve. That evening, Gene calls, says its TWO wheel bearings, $1300, out the door. Two, how?! Through bewilderment, I said ok do it, much like Ralphie saying Yes to getting a football from Santa in A Christmas Story, and hang up. I took 2 steps, stopped, and thought, 2?! $1300?! I put on my Columbo rainjacket and did some investigating on this type of service and how in the xxxx a key gets lost. I then call multiple times from last night to the early morning, only getting through to what sounds to me as an answering service, demanding, DONT DO A THING. I call Kevin at Compu-tune, whom worked on my Trans Am years back and asked for availability and prices. He didn't say anything near $1300 and thought 2 wheel bearings is possible but unlikely. While on the toilet, how appropriate is that, Gene calls me after 10am. He got my msgs and I raced there. I ask about my xxxx key and he directs me to Brian, the service manager, whom is in the room behind me. Brian gives me a couple minutes, which is lovely since I wanted to get this done at 7-730am, but since their phones are made up cups and strings, I couldnt and I'm already late to work. First thing I said was "I'm sure you heard about me and how this place lost my keys." He says no. I tell him about it, what time I dropped them off, me calling, me pissed, and a hilarious quote for a service that I honestly couldn't confirm being two wheel bearings. All of a sudden, Brian says they looked everywhere for the keys, even taking desks a part. Remember, he said he didnt hear about this from the very start. "Is it possible you misplaced them?" 😐 Brian, I'm on that camera at 8pm, I folded the envelope, and watched it drop from the weight of a programmed key in it. I did everything I was supposed to do" He then says it's never happened and I'm thinking, yeah, believe me, this sounds crazy. He said Gene and someone else collected the keys that morning. 🤔 Then he says, "he quoted you $1300 for 2 wheel bearings? That sounds kinda low." .....huh. Yeah, we are excellent at this and dont use aftermarket parts. I then quoted him the average price is $350, are Honda parts made out of diamonds? I finish with saying I dont trust this place, I just want my key, and I'll take my business elsewhere. I will never return to this dealership. If you don't have the time to read this review just take my warning and FIND ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. DONT BUY ANYTHING HERE. The parts department there is horrendous and noone in the dealership even pretends to care about you unless you are there to buy a car. I waited at the parts department desk for 20 minutes waiting for someone to come out after ringing the bell multiple times. Multiple sales people passed by and when I asked for assistance they only replied "ring the bell" without even stopping. A manager walked by and when I told him of my issue he said "sorry to hear that and kept walking". This obviously happens alot because the bell at the parts department has a sign reading "this is not a toy, press only once". Customers wouldn't have to ring the bell multiple times if the part departments staff actually came to the desk in a timely fashion. I would have just left the dealership, but I paid for the part already and I was just picking it up. Luckily I bought my Honda at Honda of Ocala and I will return there if I ever need parts or service. Imagine if you need Honda of Gainesville to assist you with an issue after buying a new car with them. Goodluck with that. It isn't worth it. Just buy elsewhere.

READ THE FINE PRINT! Don't ask the salesman over the phone before you drive 50 miles, he lied! "Yes, that is the real price. No, there are no hidden fees. The car has been here a couple of weeks, I don't know why it's not gone yet at this price." I do. The prices they list on the internet don't include almost $3000 in dealer fees. They'll insult you with trade in offers less than 50% of ROUGH trade in value of $5000, then somehow the $20,000 car I went to look at cost more than $23,000 WITH my trade in of $5000. As the salesman tried explaining it to me, I'm looking for a mirror, just to see if I really look THAT stupid. I still can't believe it. I had to leave in a hurry before I became too angry. Unbelievably, he called me at home 2 more times to see if I was still interested? !@#$%&* I'll never go back to this dealership and would not recommend them to anyone else.

Where to begin? I think maybe I read the wrong reviews when I came to this place to begin with. I purchased a used vehicle -with an additional bumper to bumper warranty adding thousands to the final price , but knowing my behind would be covered in the case of a shady deal. Boy am I glad I did that. There was a disgusting mishap the very first night of me owning this vehicle and it went back to them for almost four days while it got taken care of I get my car back not even driving it an entire day the check engine light comes on, the power door switch doesn’t work , etc. none of which showed it’s true colors until driving it for a couple days ! Fine - I have the bumper to bumper warranty right ? So I called a different dealership to get work done ( I don’t need a check engine light reset I want the problem fixed - since yanno - I have the “ warranty “, and quite frankly I’m not satisfied at all dealing with this dealership - the dealership I call pulls up my vin - and there is NO WARRANTY on this car. Funny since my paperwork states differently ! I have been calling Honda back now for over two weeks getting hung up on , getting told I will get a call back , getting No where ! I get told the warranty can take a month to show in the system. I have dealt with sales , finance , and even the service department.I am getting my phone calls dodged , and what they are doing is illegal. I paid for the warranty it should be in the system and any dealer should be able to bring it up. This is beyond frustrating on all levels! I’m giving them until Monday ( I called today when I told them my name - coincidently they were busy) I’m not going to just sit in a corner and suck my thumb. These issues are going to get resolved or I will be taking the next appropriate steps.

Today September 5, 2022 I went to see Mr. James a sales man. He told me that he could negotiate a price with me on a car I was looking at over the phone. When I went to talk to him in person, it was a waste of time and gas as the “negotiable price” was $500 off. I wouldn’t recommend this place to be taken seriously.

Misleading “yo-yo” financing practices at Honda of Gainesville. I purchased a car that was “in transit.” On the day of purchase, I worked with Rashed “R” Binrashed, the finance manager, on an auto loan and signed a financing contract. In the time before the car arrived to Gainesville, I received a letter in the mail from a local bank saying that there was an issue with the loan. I contacted Honda of Gainesville and was assured that they had taken care of everything, and I was advised to ignore the letter so I took delivery of the car when it arrived and assumed all was well. Then, five days later (after my salesperson followed up to make sure that I loved the car), R Binrashed contacted me to say that they couldn’t honor the terms of the loan anymore and told me that I had to come back to the dealership to sign a new financing contract with a higher interest rate or pay them more money. When I questioned this, they threatened to repossess the car. I spoke multiple times with the general manager, Bob Baker, as well as with Kadie Hammer at the Morgan Auto Group, but no one accepted responsibility or resolved the issue.

HEADACHE!!!! I went to get my tag only to find out they haven’t even submitted paperwork and it’s been a whole month. Temp tag expiring and they act like it’s my fault 🤔 Then I finally got them to send a second temp tag and Josh swear he sent it to the correct address but apparently he didn’t because UPS said incorrect address and I had to update it to the correct address. Then he making smart remarks like I’m in the wrong and clearly the problem is on them.

I do NOT Recommend. Honda of Gainsville listed a "just got in" vehicle for sale that I was interested in, and so I requested an "out the door price". I was soon contacted by a salesman near the end of business day via phone & email who informed me that it indeed was still available, and even went out to take and send me additional pictures (within 30 min timeframe). I immediately told him I was very interested, expressed a desire to put a deposit on the vehicle, and requested to make a scheduled appointment that following morning. The salesman was in regular correspondence with me up to that point UNTIL I informed him that I noticed the price of the vehicle online was now showing an increase online of 1K from my first "out the door" request only 30 min prior. Both the salesman and the customer relations assistant then went radio silent. Neither of them ever returned my emails, calls, or requests to provide me that "out the door" price. Later the next day after numerous attempts to contact them, someone from sales who was looking into it and took a while to get back to me on the phone was "sorry to inform me that it had already been sold" the night before. I found this unsettling because the vehicle had not even hit the lot yet and the pictures were sent by sales from the service area less than 30 min of the dealership closing the night before. Also, that next day when I was told the vehicle was sold it was noted to still be listed for sale and physically on their lot. So basically from the time I pointed out the 1K price discrepancy they did not provide or honor my initial "out the door" pricing request, suddenly stopped all contact, and informed me the next day the vehicle "was sold" despite it's "for sale" status on the lot reflecting the higher price. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

Few days after ready for pick up day we couldn't reach an agreement in the finance office based on residuals that were quoted and meeting my needs trying to keep open the option to buy the car after 3 years. As a customer, I believe I was in my right to walk from the deal at that stage and the finance rep understood this as my needs couldn't be met. My assigned salesman quickly changed his tune, and avoided eye contact at the end in leaving my keys on the desk, i was left at the desk not knowing where my car was parked and where my documents i'd give the salesman were (my registration, papers, my insurance card etc.). I find the salesman complaining in the finance office and i asked where my stuff was and where my car was, the finance rep looked at him signaling to assist me out, and outside i apologized saying "i'm sorry we couldn't work out the numbers" and he replies "yeah well i'm soaked on my day off" and stormed off inside - it was raining so i get this. However, this experience was unacceptable as a customer, I understand sales is commission based, but I should have felt comfortable with my purchase and had a right to leave if not okay with the deal, not to have a salesman become very rude at the end of the day. Not to mention I overlooked all the casual profanity throughout the sale by my salesman as I thought we had rapport and he felt comfortable to do so which is fine - as did I at that point, and on pickup day, he leaves his vape on the table in front of me during the paperwork. When making casual convo, i asked before this went down how his targets were and if it's hard over the holidays, and he replies he was doing good and "well i'm the best out of the new people". It's all well and good when the sales going through but if it doesn't, I was treated like dirt after. Beware of this dealership that other reviews seem show consistency in this behaviour pattern. I also overheard on pickup day another salesman in the next cubicle over joking about another customer not making a decision in a negative manner. Can't imagine if this is what a sale process looked like, if i'd gone through with the car, what headaches i would have with the service. Needs improvement.

I accidentally said, "its not broken, it just needs to be reset bc its still communicating with the system and I read up on it and he said no its broke and you need a new one and I said I'm not buying a xxxxing new sensor for $1500. So they said they will see what the Service Manager can do. The Service "NON" manager confronted me saying you are not going to be rude to my employee's and I can go to another dealership and the sensor is broken. I said its not broken and you guys are trying to take me to the cleaners like the customer before me that you told had a tiny oil leak and if they wanted it fix properly it would need a seal and gasket and would cost them $1200. Give me a break! So he showed me out of the door and flung his arm away from me and said have a good day rudely, so I did the same back. I went home and used a push pin and 3 washers to align the sensor, then I secured it with safety wire. Unplugged the sensor while the car was running for 2 minutes and plugged it back in and the warning lights went away for the sensor. And what do you know.... the cruise control was working and brake mitigation. It only took me 20 minutes! The NON Manager said he confirmed the sensor was broken before I left the dealership. Crooked Honda of Gainesville. NEVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLE THERE AND NEVER DEAL WITH THE MANAGER! No customer service, not problem solving skills, no other options given to me but to replace something that was NOT broken. NEVER AGAIN will I deal with that CROOKED SERVICE DEPT. I'll drive to Jacksonville or Ocala before I go there ever. NASTY people.

He did not put any pressure on me, listened to my concerns, and gave me a good price both for my trade, purchase price, and even beat the loan APR I had previously secured with my credit union. He even gave me a free lunch. After the sale he took the time to set up my bluetooth, showed me how to work all the controls, and gave me free car mats which I had previously declined. Advisor doesn’t feel honest, was matter of fact in his answers and doesn’t really give a good explanation of what I am getting or paying for. I brought some discount coupons with me, he didn’t even look at them, told me the that there are discount already applied. Funny, we went to use it only to be told sorry that's not covered with the extended warranty. I said take it back off then and he had the nerve to tell us it was too late for that. He has worked with us for several years keeping our cars working great. Wes is one of the best. The entire transaction went smoothly. (The F&I manager tried hard to get me to add extended warranty, key replacement insurance, stain and paint protection, etc. prior to closing the deal, but that was a minor delay and I know he was only doing his job. There is no escaping the show-and-tell presentation, but he didn’t keep pushing after I told him I was sticking to the OTD price I already negotiated.)
