What’s New in the 2026 Honda Passport?

Fourth-Gen Passport with Updated Design, Tech, and Performance

For 2026, Honda gave the Passport an impressive redesign with refined off-roading performance features along with new safety and infotainment technology. The new 2026 Honda Passport stands out from the crowded midsize SUV category thanks to its brawny, boxy design, and legendary Honda reliability. Around Alachua and Starke, you can experience the rugged and innovative 2026 Passport at Honda of Gainesville.

More Power & Off-Road Capability

The 2026 Honda Passport is outfitted with a 3.5-liter V6 engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel paddle shifters. This combination delivers a satisfying 285 horsepower and 282 lb-ft of torque. It also gives the Passport the ability to tow up to 5,000 pounds, which is perfect for towing trailers and weekend toys.

The redesigned Passport is ready for trails thanks to its all-wheel-drive Intelligent Variable Torque Management (i-VTM4) system that quickly delivers torque to the wheels that need it most. Honda added seven drive modes: Normal, ECON, Sport, Snow, Trail, Sand, and Tow. Drivers access them through the 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster for exceptional performance on pavement, dirt, sand, and snow.

Innovative Infotainment & Safety Technology

Interior and safety tech has been upgraded in the 2026 Honda Passport. All trims come with a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with Google navigation and connectivity. All trims have wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android™ Auto, and drivers who choose the TrailSport Elite trim get a 12-speaker Bose Premium Sound System. The other trims have nine speakers.
All trims have seating for five, and the Honda Sensing Suite of safety features. Standard safety tech includes Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane-Keep Assist, Road-Departure Mitigation, and Blind-Sport Monitoring.

The TrailSport Models Tailored For Off-Roading

The Honda Passport is available in several trims. The entry-level RTL trim comes with attractive leather-trimmed upholstery with heat and power adjustability in the front seats. While the RTL trim is loaded with a plethora of popular features, it’s the TrailSport trims that separate the Passport from other SUVs.

As the TrailSport trims are ready for off-roading, they come with interior features like easy-to-clean synthetic leather upholstery and all-season floor mats, but the TrailSport Elite has leather upholstery and a load of luxurious features like ambient lighting, a heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats. These trims also have all-terrain tires, an off-road-tuned suspension, underbody skid plates, and high-visibility recovery hooks. The top trim adds 18-inch gloss black alloy wheels and a Multi-View Camera System with TrailWatch for a premium experience on trails and sand.
