Capabilities of the Honda TrailSport

Honda doesn’t just build vehicles for getting around town, like the award-winning and fuel-efficient Honda Civic. The automaker also builds spacious, family-friendly vehicles with off-road-ready features. The Honda Pilot and Passport are available in the TrailSport models with rugged capability and typical Honda reliability. Honda of Gainesville near Alachua carries the full inventory of Honda vehicles, including the roomy and trail-ready TrailSport models.

The 2023 Honda Pilot TrailSport Capabilities

Honda has been busy redesigning its lineup, and the Pilot received its new looks and features for the 2023 model year. This spacious and innovative SUV has three rows of seating and 18.6 cubic feet of cargo space with the seats upright. With the second and third rows lowered, the cargo capacity increases to 87 cubic feet.

Honda outfits the Pilot TrailSport with a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 285 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The SUV has a 10-speed automatic, off-road suspension, and an all-wheel drive system with intelligent traction management giving the Pilot the ability to tow 5,000 pounds when properly equipped.

Additional Honda capability features include all-terrain tires with a full-size spare, a pair of steel skid plates, and durable, easy-to-clean synthetic leather upholstery accented with orange trim. The three-row SUV seats seven thanks to a pair of second-row captain’s chairs and a third-row bench that seats three. Comfort and convenience features include a panoramic sunroof, a heated steering wheel, and a helpful surround-view parking camera system.

As the Pilot TrailSport is built for pavement and trails, Honda outfitted it with a new technology called Trail Torque Logic. This technology keeps the vehicle moving safely when surfaces become uneven. The only way to access Trail Torque Logic is in Trail mode, which notices if a wheel leaves the surface. If this occurs, the feature applies extra torque to the front and rear wheels still making contact with the ground. Honda also includes Hill Descent Control in all TrailSport models.

The 2023 Honda Passport TrailSport Capabilities

Honda debuted the TrailSport trim on the 2022 Passport and continues it in the 2023 model. This trim has a 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower, all-wheel drive, a nine-speed automatic transmission, and an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 19/24 MPG. The mid-size SUV also has several drive modes and a towing capacity of 5,000 pounds.

The Passport TrailSport has rugged off-road features that include LED fog lights, roof rails, all-terrain tires, ambient interior lighting, navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and unique orange interior accents.
